Required when using our helmets
All drivers are issued a race suit, helmet & gloves. Drivers may use their own full face helmet if it is road legal. In the interest of personal hygiene drivers using our helmets must use a balaclava or similar to prevent the unpleasantness of sweaty helmets. If you do not have one you may purchase these @ reception for £2ea for a washable cotton balaclava which you can use next time you come or buy a disposable hair net for just 30p ea. Helmets are sanitised throughout the day.
We are an authorised agent for ARROXX race wear and BOX helmets. Our trained staff offer a professional helmet fitting service, which is advantageous over mail order.
Our track is inspected annually by the NKA to ensure we meet the highest safety standards in the industry.
All sessions commence with a driver safety briefing, which familiarises both beginners and experienced drivers of the safety rules and driving techniques which not only aims to keep the experience as safe as possible but also helps to get the most fun out of each session.
The track features 3 high-speed banking corners, which is unique in the UK. The 300m tarmac track provides ample grip to replicate that of an outdoor track providing plenty of adrenalin pumping thrills. A typical lap time is around 25 seconds.
Ages 12yrs-adults, min height 1.45m
Ample viewing areas are provided from which to cheer on your friends & family.
These sessions are very different from the others we offer. These are perfect for team-building and competitions where groups of 2-6 drivers share a kart and work together as a team. These sessions require a minimum of 6 teams and maximum of 13 teams. All drivers have a practice and then line up on the grid in qualifying order for a non-stop race. Teams have to arrange their own driver changes and fuel stop for longer races. The team with the most laps will be the winner. Teams can keep track of their postions on the computer monitors which give live track information throughout.
These sessions are ideal for individuals and groups looking to have a non-race driving experience. Whilst we recommend booking, this is the easiest session to organise. You will receive a lap timing printout so you can compare your performance with your friends and other drivers. You can select one, two or three 25 lap sessions with a 15 mins break between each session where you can have a quick break and perhaps some light refreshments from our cafe.
Trophies or medals are awarded to all race events. Track driving experiences do not receive trophies.
These events consist of a practice followed by 1 long non-stop race. These are ideal for groups of 7-12 drivers that are on a budget and want to get lots of laps for their money.
These are our most popular race sessions and are perfect for a wide range of occassions including, stag/hen parties, corporate events, office parties, xmas parties etc. These sessions bring out the competitive nature in all of us as the tension builds as we watch the lights eagerly all lined up on the starting grid. Each driver has a practice, 2 qualifying heats and the top 12 drivers go into the final.
This session gives young drivers of 12-15yrs the chance to be their Formula 1 idle. Drivers will have a practice to familiarise themselves with the track and karts before lining up on the starting grid. They will then compete in a race to the finish line. Click here for birthday parties.
