A Please email the manager using firstname.lastname@example.org - subject FAO manager complaint. Please provide your booking ID, name and phone number. Provide as much detail as possible to describe what went wrong. We will investigate this thoroughly using our CCTV footage and phone voice recordings plus interview staff members involved. You will then be contacted with a full explanation of the findings and any propositions will then be discussed. We do aim to please and value your custom.
A Select Prices from the drop down menu at the top of the home page then select from the options at the top of the Prices page. These are KARTING, JUNIOR KARTING, LASERTAG and FOOD. When the desired option has been selected the prices will be viewable.
Q How do I book?
A You can book online which will involve paying 50% using Paypal or a credit/debit card. If you prefer you can pay in full which speeds up the process when you arrive for your activity. Alternatively you can phone us on 01452 311211 where we will be happy to advise you and book it for you.
Q I am not sure how many to book for until my guests confirm so can I provisionally book and confirm later?
A Yes - we appreciate that sometimes invites have to be sent before numbers can be confirmed. We can make a provisional booking for you and then you can make a payment when you know. We generally like payment to secure the booking within a week of making a provisional booking. This may be extended if necessary.
A There is no minimum height for the Racing Rascals however the Cadets have a minimum height of 1.2m
Q What age can use the Racing Rascals?
A 4-7yrs however we recommend using the faster Cadet karts for children aged 6 1/2 upwards
Q What party do I book if I have ages ranging from 5-8yrs?
A We would suggest booking a cadet party and we will do part of the party with the Racing Rascals karts for any driver that is too young or too small to drive the Cadets.
Q Can you mix Racing Rascals & Cadets on the track at the same time?
A No - the difference in speed and design of the karts would make this unsafe.
Q Will the children get bored waiting for their go as you only run 3 Cadet karts together for the parties?
A The children will be cheering their friends on from the viewing area. We have some games machines suitable for their age group situated in the kids track area to keep them amused if necessary.
Q Why do you run 4 Racing Rascals but only 3 Cadet karts when running parties?
A The Cadet karts are much faster and physically larger so therefore require more space. We run 3 karts and have the other 3 on charge so we can run all day whilst keeping the batteries @ peak performance.
Q My son has his own quad bike and scramble bike, will he find the kids track too slow for him?
A As he is used to controlling fast vehicles he will probably find the kids track too slow and therefore we would advise he plays lasertag and waits until he is 12yrs old to go on the senior track. We do have some video footage of the Cadets so you can make a judgement.
Q Do the children wear helmets and race suits?
A No - the karts are electrically driven and are designed not to need helmets and race suits.
Q Have you had any injuries on the kids track?
A No - we do however advise you that there is a risk of injury as they are moving vehicles and you will need to sign an indemnity form (either party organiser or parent).
Q What should my child wear?
A Casual clothing and ensure there are no loose items of clothing such as scarves that could become entangles with moving parts.
A There is no weight or height limit however our helmet size of XXL may be the limiting factor, but this is very rare.
Q What should I wear?
A We recommend casual clothing and sensible footwear, trainers are ideal - no high heels or open sandals .
Q Can my children come without me?
A You can print an indemnity form from our printable forms page and sign it for them to bring with them. Please ensure there is an emergency contact phone number to contact you if they have an accident.
Q Is all equipment provided free?
A Yes - you will be provided with a race suit, helmet & gloves. For hygiene reasons you are required to wear a balaclava if you use our helmets which prevents having to share someone else's sweat from the previous driver. You can use your own balaclava or purchase one from us for just £2ea and you can keep it to use again next time.
Q What engines do you use?
A We use the fabulous Honda GX160 engines which is the most popular engine used at most indoor karting arenas.
Q Can I hurt myself?
A Unfortunately YES you can. As with any form of motorsport there is always some element of risk involved however we are a fully certified circuit and member of the National Karting Association which helps to ensure that any risks are kept to a minimum.
Q I have never been karting before, can I do it?
A Yes - we provide safety instruction and show you how to operate the karts and what to do before your session starts.
Q Will I have exclusive use of the track?
A This depends on the session type you have booked. Race events are exclusive, but the Track Driving Experience is not.
A Yes - We have designed our arena to appeal to both children and adults. We have run many corporate events with great success and the experience has surpassed their expectations.
Q How many games do most people play
A We recommend playing 3 games especially for parties as this gives us chance to play both solo and team games. 3 games takes about an hour to run and also offers the best value for money.
Q How good is your arena?
A We are the chosen arena for the annual Armageddon Lasertag Championship for the UK.
Q What equipment do you use?
A We use the very best Darklight V5 lasertag equipment which is the most sophisticated on the planet. This requires a degree of skill not found on other systems and provides live info on the LCD screen on every phaser so you know what is happening throughout the game.
Q Is it dark and scary?
A The lighting is subdued however the uv artwork glows brightly and there are special effects lights inside. It is not particularly scary as most 6yr olds are fine and really enjoy the experience. We do have a few that are too scared to go in as soon as they arrive. We would in this case suggest that a parent goes in with the child to have a look first before starting the game to gain confidence. An adult can assist the child and this usually helps greatly until they gain confidence to ago around on their own. We only charge for the pack and not someone if they are only assisting.
Q How many can play together?
A 34 players
Q Will I have exclusive use of the arena?
A No - there may be other players with you however this adds to the enjoyment as you will have more people to tag. You can arrange exclusive hire for 30 packs on weekends or 25 packs for weekdays by arrangement.
Q Is it safe?
A We have a no running policy to keep everyone safe. Injuries can happen if they run into each other or fall over. This is therefore a low risk activity.
Q Can my children come on their own or do I have to sign an indemnity form?
A Yes they can come on their own and there is no indemnity form to fill in.
Q When giving our names can they be imaginary?
A Yes - you can make up your own game name providing it does not contain numerals and is less than 13 characters. Of course they must be PG rated. Your group can fill in their names using the Names Form.
Q What clothing should I wear?
A Wear casual clothes or fancy dress which adds to the fun. You will definitely get warm playing the games so bear this in mind even in Winter.Sensible footwear is a must - flat shoes or trainers are perfect, no high heels.
Q Is strobe lighting used?
Q Is it a suitable activity for disabled players?
A The arena is wheelchair friendly however players may need an assistant to help them. Please consider the entrance steps to initially get in as we have no lift. We usually have members of staff that will be pleased to assist you, but please let us know prior to make arrangements to help.
